Sudipto Sarkar Completes Second Term As Independent Director Of Triveni Engineering

Sudipto Sarkar has completed his second consecutive term of five years as an Independent Director of Triveni Engineering Industries Limited as of September 13, 2024.

Sarkar holds a B.Sc. (Maths-Hons.) from Presidency College, Kolkata, as well as a B.A. (Law Tripos), M.A. (Law), and LL.M. (International Law) from Jesus College, Cambridge, UK. He is also a barrister from Grey’s Inn, London. A renowned lawyer and author of several authoritative legal textbooks, Sarkar is a practicing senior advocate specialising in commercial and corporate law.

He currently serves as a Director on the Boards of Vesuvius India Ltd., EIH Ltd., and EIH Associated Hotels Ltd. Sarkar was previously a Director of BSE Ltd., JSW Steel Ltd., B & A Ltd., McNally Bharat Engineering Co. Ltd., and Descon Ltd., among others.

In addition to his legal practice, Sarkar has acted as an arbitrator in both domestic and international disputes. He has been a member of the Panel of Arbitrators for the Hong Kong International Arbitration Centre (HKIAC) and the Pacific International Arbitration Centre (PIAC).
