Sudhin Choksey Joins Asahi Songwon Colors As Four Independent Directors Retire

Sudhin Bhagwandas Choksey is appointed as an Additional Director designated as Non-Executive Independent Director of Asahi Songwon Colors Limited for a term of five years with effect from August 10, 2024.

Arvind Goenka, Rajkumar Sukhdevsinhji, and Dr. Pradeepbhai Jasubhai Jha have completed their second term of five years as Non-Executive Independent Director with effect from the close of business hours on August 11, 2024.

Jayprakash Maneklal Patel has completed his first term as Non-Executive Independent Director of the company. He has expressed his intention to not renew his tenure. Consequently, he shall also step down as Chairman of the Nomination and Remuneration Committee and Member of the Audit Committee, Stakeholder Relationship Committee, Corporate Social Responsibility Committee, and Risk Management Committee of the Board.

Sudhin B. Choksey has an overall 42 years of professional experience, both in India and overseas. He was the Managing Director of GRUH Finance Ltd., which was merged with Bandhan Bank. He is a fellow member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India. He was the recipient of the ‘Business Leader—Financial Services’ Award for 2015 from The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, New Delhi.

Arvind Goenka commands rich experience over 31 years in managing industries with diverse business interests, such as jute, cotton textiles, rubber, chemicals, and sophisticated industrial engineering products. He is on the board of reputed companies like Oriental Carbon and Chemicals Ltd. and Schrader Duncan Ltd.

R.K. Sukhdevsinhji has served as Chairman and Managing Director of Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd. He has held board-level positions in various central government and public sector companies. In 1981, he was deputed to the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas as Director (Operations) of the Oil Coordination Committee (OCC).

Dr. Pradeep Jha is a mathematician with over 43 years of experience in teaching. He is a research guide at many universities and has authored many books on mathematics and operations research.
Jayprakash M. Patel is the founder of Loxim Industries Limited. He holds a B.E. (Chemical Engineer, USA) with more than 44 years of experience in the dye and chemical industry.
