Sudha Pillai, VK Jeyakodi, and Chathamur Raman Appointed As Independent Directors Of GHCL Textiles

The Board of Directors of GHCL Textiles Limited, on October 29, 2024, has approved the appointment of Sudha Pillai, IAS (retd.), as an Independent Director (Women Director) for five years w.e.f. March 01, 2025.

The Board has also approved the appointment of Virusangulaam Kumarasamy Jeyakodi, IAS (retd.), and Chathamur Raman Rajagopal as Independent Directors for five years each w.e.f. March 1, 2025.

Sudha Pillai is a 1972 batch IAS officer from Kerala cadre. She has worked in a variety of ministries for both the state government and the government of India. Currently, she is an Independent Director on the Boards of Dalmia Bharat Ltd., India Energy Exchange Ltd., and Jubilant Ingrevia Ltd. She earned a master’s degree in psychology from Punjab University and a master’s in public administration from Harvard University.

Jeyakodi is a 1994 batch IAS officer from Tamil Nadu cadre. He has held numerous positions in both the state government and the Indian government. He is currently a board member of the Indian Maritime University’s Finance Committee and an Independent External Monitor for Power Finance Corporation Consultancy Ltd. Jeyakodi earned a BE in Electronics and Communications Engineering from Madras University and an MBA in International Business from Sydney.

Chathamur Raman Rajagopal has been a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India since 1984. He has about 40 years of expertise in a variety of industries, including textiles, automotive components, and retail. He is involved in financial restructuring in the textile business, working with the Confederation of Indian Textile Industries. Rajagopal graduated from Madras University.
