Stewardship in Boardrooms: Board Stewardship Huddle to Convene in Delhi

Board Stewardship will host the Delhi edition of its signature event – the Board Stewardship Huddle on Tuesday, March 17, 2026 at Magnolia Hall, India Habitat Centre, New Delhi. The Women’s Day Special edition will bring together board members, Independent Directors, governance professionals and business leaders for discussions on the evolving role of boards and responsible leadership.

The Huddle, scheduled from 4:00 PM to 10:00 PM, will centre around the theme ‘Stewardship in Boardrooms’, highlighting the changing responsibilities of directors and the increasing influence of women in shaping governance frameworks, accountability structures and strategic oversight.

The Delhi huddle will feature keynote addresses, spotlight sessions and panel discussions focused on leadership pathways, boardroom effectiveness and responsible corporate stewardship.

Registration for the Huddle will begin at 4:00 PM onwards.

The event will commence with a Welcome Address by VikeshWallia, Managing Director and Editor, Board Stewardship, who will set the context for the discussions by highlighting the importance of stronger governance practices and the role of boards in navigating an increasingly complex business environment.

The Inaugural Keynote Address will be delivered by ArunKarna, MD & CEO, AT&T Global Network Services India Pvt. Ltd. and SCVP – India & ASEAN, AT&T BusinessInternational, who will share his experience about the evolving expectations from corporate boards, leadership accountability and the role of technology-driven businesses in strengthening governance and transparency.

Another Keynote Address titled ‘Right to Lead: Reimagining Board Pathways for Women’ will be delivered by Nina Chatrath, Independent Director on Multiple Boards, Partner – DHR Global, Leadership & Business Consultant and Trustee- Vision Spring Foundation. She will share insights on how organisations can create stronger pathways for women leaders to enter and thrive in boardrooms while promoting inclusive leadership.

The first panel discussion, ‘From Seat at the Table to Shaping the Table: Women Directors Redefining Governance & NRC Accountability,’ will be moderated by Pankaj Raj, Co-founder and Director, Search Value, an Executive Search Firm, The panel will include Arpita Pal Agrawal, Board Chair & Independent Director; Radhika Vohra, Associate Managing Director Investigations, Diligence & Compliance Practice, Kroll; and Shan Jain, Independent Director on multiple Boards and Founder & CEO, Bridge to Ocean 29. The discussion will examine how women directors are increasingly influencing boardroom decision-making, particularly within committees such as the Nomination and Remuneration Committee (NRC), and how their perspectives are helping shape leadership succession, governance oversight and corporate accountability.

Following the panel discussion, Sri Ram Kumar C, Head, Marketing Alliances & HR, FinAlyzer, will deliver a Spotlight Session on Governing the Game, Not the Numbers, where he will discuss the importance of strategic oversight, ethical leadership and focusing on long-term value creation rather than short-term financial metrics.

Another Spotlight Session on Personal Branding will be delivered by Rahul Kansal, Independent Director, Executive Coach & Brand Consultant, who will speak about how leaders and board members can build credibility, influence and a strong professional identity in today’s dynamic corporate ecosystem.

Among the key highlights of the evening will be a Session on Board Stewardship by Punita Kumar Sinha, Independent Director on Multiple Boards and a respected voice in global finance and governance. She will share perspectives on global governance trends, boardroom leadership and the evolving expectations from directors in an interconnected global economy.
