Sparc Designates Mudgal Kothekar & Sandeep Inamdar As SMPs

Dr. Mudgal Kothekar, Vice President, and Dr. Sandeep Inamdar, Vice President, Clinical Development, have been designated as Senior Management Personnel of Sun Pharma Advanced Research Company Limited (SPARC) with effect from July 26, 2024.

Dr. Nitin Dharmadhikari, Senior Management Personnel of the company, has been redesignated as Chief Operating Officer (COO) effective July 26, 2024.

Dr. Mudgal Kothekar is MD in Pharmacology and has experience of more than 20 years in Clinical Development. He has been working at SPARC since August 2017. Presently, he is Vice President of Clinical Development at SPARC. In the past, he has worked for companies like Emcure Pharmaceuticals, Piramal Life Sciences, Daiichi Sankyo, and Panacea Biotec. He was heading clinical development at Biocon Research before he joined SPARC.

Dr. Sandeep Inamdar is a licensed physician with over 20 years of experience in the biopharmaceutical industry across all phases of clinical development. He has been with SPARC since January 2020 and currently heads the Oncology Product Development Group as Vice President of Clinical Development. Prior to joining SPARC, he led Early Clinical Development at Five Prime Therapeutics (acquired by Amgen Inc.). He has worked with Amgen, GlaxoSmithkline, Acerta Pharma (acquired by Astra-Zeneca Plc.), and Onyx Pharmaceuticals (acquired by Amgen Inc.). He also worked on the NDA/EMA submission of Carfilzomib (Kyprolis) in multiple myeloma and on the pivotal stage development of Acalabrutinib (Calquence) in NonHodgkin’s Lymphoma. He earned his MBBS from Grant Medical College, Mumbai, and has an MBA from the University of California at Los Angeles (UCLA).
