Soundara Kumar Retired as Independent Director of Carborundum Universal

Soundara Kumar, Independent Director of Carborundum Universal Limited, has completed her term of office and retired from the Board on August 2, 2024.

Kumar served as MD of the State Bank of Indore. She retired as the Deputy MD of the Stressed Asset Management Group at SBI. Currently, she serves on the Boards of Ramco Systems Ltd., Sundaram Trustee Company Ltd., Rajapalayam Mills Ltd., and Shanthi Gears Ltd. Kumar holds a bachelor’s degree in science (mathematics) from the University of Madras and is a Certified Associate of the Indian Institute of Banking and Finance (CAIIB). She started her career with the State Bank of India (SBI) as a direct recruit officer, dedicating over 39 years of service both in India and abroad.
