Six Independent Directors Reappointed At Jubilant Ingrevia

Sushil Kumar Roongta has been reappointed as the Independent Director of Jubilant Ingrevia Limited with effect from February 6, 2026.

Arun Seth, Pradeep Banerjee, Sudha Pillai, and Siraj Azmat Chaudhry have been reappointed as the Independent Directors of the company with effect from February 6, 2026.

Ameeta Chatterjee has been reappointed as the Independent Director of the company with effect from April 17, 2026.

Sudha Pillai joined the Indian Administrative Service (IAS) in 1972 with the second rank nationally. Her roles have included District Collector, Trivandrum; CMD, Kerala Finance Corporation; Principal Secretary (Finance), Kerala; and Secretary, Ministry of Labour and Employment, Government of India. She contributed to the 1991 Industrial Licensing Policy Reforms and corporate law revisions. As Labour Secretary, she drafted India’s first skill development and safety policies. She has served as Member Secretary of the Planning Commission and on several infrastructure bodies. Pillai is an alumna of Panjab University with degrees in English Literature and Psychology, both awarded with first rank. She also holds a master’s degree in public administration from Harvard University with focus areas including FDI, macroeconomic policy, food systems, and rural policy.

Sushil Kumar Roongta served as Chairman of Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL) and was the first Chairman of International Coal Ventures Limited, a joint venture of five public sector undertakings. He has held positions in FICCI, CII, ASSOCHAM, and the Institute for Steel Development & Growth and was on the Executive Committee of the World Steel Association. He also chaired the Board of Governors of IIT-Bhubaneswar. He led the Planning Commission’s Panel on Public Sector Reforms and is associated with educational and non-profit organisations. Roongta is an electrical engineer from BITS Pilani and holds a postgraduate diploma in business management from the Indian Institute of Foreign Trade. He is a Fellow of the All India Management Association.

Arun Seth worked with the BT Group in India for over 17 years in various roles. He currently serves on the Boards of Jubilant Pharmova, Dixon Technologies, Kent RO, Sify Technologies, and Ixigo, among others. He is also associated with non-profit organisations, including The Nudge Institute and HelpAge India. He is active in the Indian start-up ecosystem through his involvement with the Indian Angel Network and TiE. Additionally, he is engaged with alumni activities of IIT Kanpur. Seth holds a bachelor’s degree in engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur, and a master’s degree in business administration from the Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta.

Pradeep Banerjee has held senior positions at Hindustan Unilever Limited, including Executive Director of Supply Chain and Chairman of Unilever Nepal Limited. He has experience in supply chain management, procurement, operations, strategy, and research and development. He currently serves as an Independent Director on the boards of several companies and acts as an advisor to a management consultancy firm. He also advises technology startups working in areas such as artificial intelligence, blockchain, and waste management. He was Co-Chair of the Plastics Committee of FICCI and previously served on the National Committee on Environment of the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII). Banerjee holds a bachelor’s degree in chemical technology from the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi.

Siraj A. Chaudhry has over 37 years of experience in business, including more than two decades in leadership roles across agriculture, food, and related sectors. He is the Chairman of SATS India and a Partner at AgVaya LLP. He has built, scaled, and turned around businesses by focusing on people management, operational efficiency, and collaborative problem-solving. He has held advisory roles with organisations such as Louis Dreyfus, Stanton Chase, AB InBev, and CDC Group. He has Chaired and Co-Chaired agri and food committees of FICCI, CII, USIBC, and AMCHAM. He is a founding member of United Way Delhi and the India Food Banking Network. He holds an MBA from IIFT and a B.Com (Hons.) from SRCC, Delhi University.

Ameeta Chatterjee has over two decades of experience in project development, finance, and corporate advisory in India and the UK. She is the founder of the Ekam Foundation, which works in the area of child health and education. She began her career with ICICI in project finance, followed by a leadership role at KPMG, including international experience in London. She later joined Leighton India as GM of M&A. She currently advises corporates through her consulting firm, Espandere Advisors. Chatterjee serves as an Independent Director on the Boards of Nippon Life India Asset Management, JSW Infrastructure, and IIM Visakhapatnam. Chatterjee holds a bachelor’s degree in commerce from Lady Shri Ram College, Delhi University, and a management degree from the Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore.
