Saugata Basuray Appointed As Interim CEO Of Castrol India

Saugata Basuray has been appointed as Interim Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Castrol India Limited, effective January 1, 2026.

Further, Mayank Pandey has been appointed as Vice President & Head of B2C Sales of the company, with effect from January 1, 2026.

Basuray has held diverse roles, including Executive Assistant to the MD & Regional VP, leading B2B sales, interim Head of Marketing for India and Saudi Arabia, and President & Director of bp’s joint-venture lubricants operation in Indonesia. He began his career with Castrol India as a Management Trainee in 1999 and brings over 23 years of extensive experience in sales, marketing, and business development across four countries and two continents. Basuray holds an Engineering degree from the University of Pune and an MBA from Symbiosis Institute of Business Management, Pune.

Pandey is a seasoned business leader with over 25 years of experience across oil & gas, lubricants, consulting, paints, and engineering sectors. He currently serves as Vice President at bp’s Customers & Products (C&P) Business & Technology Centre, driving strategic transformation, operational excellence, and innovation initiatives across BP’s global C&P business. Previously, he was Whole-Time Director and Vice President & Head – Supply Chain at Castrol India Ltd. He holds a Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering from Harcourt Butler Technological Institute and an MBA from S.P. Jain Institute of Management & Research.
