Sanjiv Mehta Appointed Independent Director of Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories

The appointment of Sanjiv Mehta is approved by the Board of Directors of Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories Limited with effect from December 29, 2023, subject to the approval of the shareholders.

Mehta led Hindustan Unilever Limited (HUL) as Chairman/CEO and Managing Director. He also served as the President of Unilever South Asia and was a member of the Unilever Leadership Executive, the global executive board. Currently, he serves as a Non-Executive Board Member of Air India and Danone in France. He is also the Non-Executive Chairman of Unilever Indonesia. Before his role at HUL, he held various leadership positions within Unilever worldwide for 21 years. He served as the President of FICCI, India’s oldest and largest trade body. He is a member of the South Asia Advisory Board of Harvard Business School and Chairman Emeritus of ‘Vikaasa,’ a coalition of major Indian and MNC companies. He is a Chartered Accountant, completed the Advanced Management Programme at Harvard Business School, and holds a Bachelor’s in Commerce.
