Sanjiv Kapoor, Jet Airways’ CEO-designate, has resigned

Jet Airways 2.0, the revived version of the airline that shut down in April 2019, has lost its CEO-designate Sanjiv Kapoor and other key officials in recent days due to a lack of fund infusion. The winning Jalan Kalrock Consortia (JKC) has not made the required payments to lenders and employees, and the revalidated airline license is set to expire on May 19, 2023. Lenders are reportedly considering legal action against the stalled revival process, as the terms and conditions have not been met. JKC claims to remain committed to reviving Jet Airways and is in the process of transferring ownership, settling outstanding amounts, and recommencing commercial operations.
