Sanghvi Movers Board Adds Industry Veterans Deepak Ambadas Thombre and Amitabha Mukhopadhyay as Independent Directors

Deepak Ambadas Thombre and Amitabha Mukhopadhyay have been appointed as Non-Executive Independent Directors (Additional Directors) of Sanghvi Movers Limited, effective December 5, 2024, subject to shareholder approval.

With over 40 years of experience across various organisations, Thombre has played a key role in driving growth by developing domestic and international markets. He serves as an Independent Director on the boards of multiple companies, including Dalmia Bharat Refractories Ltd., Dalmia Cement (North East) Ltd., AFC India Ltd., Vinay Cement Ltd., and OCL Global Ltd.

Thombre holds a mechanical engineering degree from the College of Engineering, Pune, and a master’s in management studies from Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management Studies, Mumbai. He has also completed advanced leadership and management programs at the Centre for Creative Leadership (USA), London Business School (UK), and IIM Lucknow. Additionally, he is a certified CEO coach, having completed a postgraduate program in executive coaching from the Coaching Foundation of India (CFI).

Mukhopadhyay brings 35 years of expertise in corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions, corporate strategy, and legal functions. His career spans leadership roles in the Tata Group and Thermax. He is currently an Independent Director on the boards of Quick Heal Technologies Ltd. and Foseco India Ltd.

Mukhopadhyay is a Physics (Hons) graduate from the University of Calcutta, a Chartered Accountant, and holds a law degree from Pune University.

Their combined expertise is expected to strengthen Sanghvi Movers’ strategic vision and governance framework.
