Sandhya Venugopal Sharma Appointed As Chairperson & Director On Tamilnadu Petroproducts’ Board

Sandhya Venugopal Sharma has been appointed as Chairperson of the Board and Non-Executive Director (Additional Director) of Tamilnadu Petroproducts Limited, with effect from January 14, 2026.

Sharma is a 1995-batch IAS officer of the Tamil Nadu cadre and currently serves as Chairperson of Tamil Nadu Industrial Development Corporation (TIDCO). She has held senior leadership positions at both state and central government levels, including Joint Secretary and Additional Secretary in the Department of Space (2019–2025). During her deputation to the Government of Karnataka, she served as State Project Director for Sarva Shiksha Abhiyaan, managing a multi-stakeholder programme supported by the Central and State Governments, the World Bank, DFID, and UNICEF. In Tamil Nadu, her roles included Commissioner (Archives and Historical Research), Joint/Deputy Secretary in Commercial Taxes and Education, and district-level postings as Sub Collector in Chengalpattu and Tindivanam.
