
Sameer Nagpal Succeeds Krishna Kumar Maskara As CEO Of Vikram Solar
Vikram Solar Limited has appointed Sameer Nagpal as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) with immediate effect. He will lead the company’s plans to expand manufacturing, deepen backward integration, and increase its presence in global markets.
Nagpal succeeds Krishna Kumar Maskara, who will take on the roles of Chief Operating Officer and Chief Risk Officer (COO & CRO) after serving as interim CEO.
Nagpal is associated with professional networks and brings experience across sectors. With over three decades in leadership roles, he has worked with Livguard Energy Technologies, Dalmia Bharat Group, Shalimar Paints, Ingersoll Rand, Zicom, and Carrier Air Conditioning, where he handled roles focused on operations, growth, and business execution. Nagpal holds a postgraduate diploma in business management from the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Calcutta and a degree in mechanical engineering from Delhi College of Engineering.
Maskara is the Whole-Time Director and President of Corporate and a former interim CEO of Vikram Solar. He joined the Board in January 2009 and earlier worked as General Manager of Finance at Vikram India Ltd. With over 20 years of experience in finance and the solar sector, he oversees fundraising, taxation, legal, and corporate functions. An associate of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, he holds management qualifications from Indira Gandhi National Open University, New Delhi.
