Royal Orchid Hotel Reppoints Ashutosh Chandra And Rajkumar T. Khatri As Independent Directors

Ashutosh Chandra and Rajkumar Thakardas Khatri have been re-appointed as the Non-Executive Independent Directors of Royal Orchid Hotels Limited.

During his more than 35 years in the Income Tax Department, Ashutosh Chandra held several important positions, including Chief Commissioner of Income Tax, Principal Commissioner, and Director of Investigation. He served in high positions before retiring in 2016, such as Member of the National Company Law Tribunal and the Authority for Advance Rulings. His is as a notable personality in India’s financial sphere, namely in the areas of international taxation and corporate law.

Rajkumar Thakardas Khatri is an Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer with over three decades of expertise, playing a pivotal role in advancing significant labour, education, and industrial reforms in Karnataka. As the Additional Chief Secretary for various departments, he spearheaded key initiatives such as the formulation of Karnataka’s Electric Vehicle (EV) and aerospace policies. Additionally, he facilitated direct financial assistance to 80 lakh farmers. Under his leadership, Karnataka emerged as a leading export state, and he was instrumental in organising the 2010 Global Investors Meet, which attracted substantial investments from global giants like Shell and Boeing.
