Robert Erni To Succeed Patrick Jany As Maersk CFO

Maersk has appointed Robert Erni as its new Chief Financial Officer (CFO), succeeding Patrick Jany, who will step down in the first quarter of 2026.

Erni brings experience from previous roles as CFO at logistics company Dachser and positions at Panalpina. During his tenure, he managed acquisition projects, oversaw two SAP rollouts, and handled related organisational changes in support of global operations. He began his career at Logistics Company Kühne + Nagel and held roles in Hong Kong, India, Argentina, and the United States. He later returned to Switzerland, where he was responsible for global controlling at the company’s headquarters. Erni has held senior finance roles in the logistics sector.

Jany served as CFO and Executive Committee member at Clariant AG in Switzerland before joining Maersk. Earlier, he held leadership roles across finance, general management, and corporate development at Clariant. His assignments were based in Germany, Mexico, Singapore, Indonesia, and Spain, covering regional and global responsibilities within the group.
