Parsons, who was well-known for his smooth management style and extensive network, had tackled crises like the AOL-Time Warner merger collapse, Citigroup’s 2008 financial troubles, and the fallout at CBS and the Clippers. He was a vocal advocate for social justice and had also founded the Equity Alliance to support ventures led by women and people of colour. Throughout his career, he used his background as an aide to Nelson A. Rockefeller and his expertise to resolve complex corporate issues.
