Reliance Power and Infra Promote Four Officials to Board Roles
Reliance Power and Reliance Infrastructure, part of the Reliance Group (Anil Ambani), have announced a Board restructuring, elevating four senior officials to Director roles. Ashok Pal, CFO of Reliance Power, has been appointed as Executive Director. Sachin Mohapatra, Whole-Time Director and CEO of Sasan Power Ltd., and Harmanjit Singh Nagi, President of Corporate Development, have joined the Reliance Power Board as Additional Directors. Partha Sarma, President of Group Corporate Development, has been named Additional Director at Reliance Infrastructure. This restructuring aligns with the group’s Vision 2030 Growth Strategy to drive leadership through a dynamic team.
Ashok Pal has over 23 years of experience in general accounting, finance, taxation, MIS, and statutory compliance. He has held roles such as Accounts Officer at L’Oréal, Manager Accounts at Clearpack and Reliance, and Chief Manager (Head of Segment Accounts, Taxation, and MIS) at Deepak Nitrite Ltd. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree in Accounting, Taxation, Banking, and Management from V.B.S. Purvanchal University and is a qualified Chartered Accountant from ICAI.
Sachin Mohapatra brings over three decades of experience in power generation, including engineering, erection, commissioning, and R&D in power generation technology. He worked at NTPC for 18 years, starting as a graduate engineer, and later held leadership roles at Lanco Power and Essar Power before joining Sasan Power. He holds a Mechanical Engineering degree from NIT Jamshedpur and a Master’s in Power Generation Technology from IIT Delhi.
Partha Sarma is a global business leader with expertise in defence, financial services, and infrastructure. At Reliance Group, he leads corporate development, fostering international alliances. Previously, he expanded corporate business assets tenfold at ING Life Korea and served as Vice Chairman of the Indian Chamber of Commerce in Korea. Sarma has held senior roles at KB Life, ING Life India, SAP, and Baan India and is an advisor to industry associations in Korea.
