RBL Bank Reappoints R. Subramaniakumar As MD & CEO

R. Subramaniakumar has been reappointed as Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer (MD & CEO) of RBL Bank Limited with effect from June 23, 2025, subject to the approval of the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) and the shareholders of RBL Bank.

Subramaniakumar has been the MD and CEO of the bank since June 23, 2022, with over 40 years of experience in the banking industry. He began his career in 1980 with Punjab National Bank (PNB), where he held various leadership roles, including heading business transformation and digital, HR, MSME, and retail operations. He contributed to establishing PNB subsidiaries in the UK, Bhutan, Nepal, and Kazakhstan. Before RBL Bank, he was MD and CEO of Indian Overseas Bank and Executive Director at Indian Bank. He also led the resolution of DHFL’s debt. He holds multiple certifications and has served on various Boards and committees.
