Raymond’s Independent Director Shiv Surinder Kumar Retired

Shiv Surinder Kumar, Independent Director of Raymond Limited, whose current term expired on February 14, 2024, has conveyed his desire to not seek reappointment for the second term considering his other professional engagements, which require enhanced time commitment.

Kumar started Bridge Capital in 2006 and has over 20 years of experience in asset management, merchant banking, capital markets, and wealth management across Asia, Europe, and the Middle East. He’s skilled in securities trading, private placement, debt restructuring, and disinvestments. He was a financial consultant at Merrill Lynch International. Earlier, he was a Vice President at Hinduja Finance. In various roles at Prime Securities Limited, India, and Bank of America NT & SA, he held the positions of Vice President and Assistant Vice President. He has been a member of Westminster Group Plc’s International Advisory Board. He served as an Independent Director of Amira Nature Foods. He directed projects like airport privatisation in India and private placements in mid-cap Indian companies as the Director of Genesis International in Dubai, UAE. Currently, he also sits on the board of Ring Plus Aqua Limited. He studied commerce at HR College of Commerce (Bombay University, India) and got an MBA from the International Management Institute, New Delhi.
