Ravi Ranjan Elevated To The Role Of Managing Director At SBI
Ravi Ranjan has been elevated to the role of Managing Director (MD) at State Bank of India, effective December 15, 2025.
Before this, Ranjan served as Deputy MD for Global Markets and Deputy MD of the Corporate Accounts Group (CAG). He oversees the Risk, Compliance, and Stressed Assets Resolution Group (SARG) verticals. As Chief General Manager, he led the SBI Chennai Circle covering Tamil Nadu and Puducherry, and he has also served as President and Chief Operating Officer at SBICAPS, Mumbai. Earlier, he headed the Retail Network as General Manager in Bengaluru. Ranjan has completed two foreign assignments in Hong Kong (Debt Syndications) and Los Angeles, California. He joined SBI as a Probationary Officer in 1991 and has more than 34 years of experience across various domains of banking and finance.
