Rajya Vardhan Kanoria Retired from Nestle India’s Board
Nestle India Limited informed the stock exchange that Rajya Vardhan Kanoria retired as an Independent Non-Executive Director of the company on May 12, 2024, upon completion of his second term of five years.
Kanoria joined Nestle India in May 2014 and also served on various committees of the Board, such as the Audit Committee, the Nomination and Remuneration Committee, and the Stakeholders Relationship Committee. He is the promoter and CMD of Kanoria Chemicals. He has experience of over four decades in the chemicals, textiles, and jute industries. His experience includes holding roles in industry associations, notably as President of the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) during 2012–13. He chaired the Commission on Trade and Investment Policy of the International Chamber of Commerce in Paris from 2008 to 2011. He has served as Chairman of the Confederation of Indian Textile Industry and the Indian Jute Mills’ Association. He received the “Swiss Ambassador’s Award for Leadership and Business Ethics” in 2013. He is an MBA (Hons.) from IMD, Switzerland.
