Rajnish Kumar and Jyoti Sagar appointed as ID’s at L&T

Rajnish Kumar has been appointed as an Independent Director of L&T from May 10, 2023, for five years. He is a seasoned banker with nearly four decades of experience at the State Bank of India, from where he retired as the chairman. During his tenure, he led the bank through tough times and played a key role in the development of YONO, a digital platform that propelled the bank’s position as a leader in technology and innovation. He is currently an independent director on the boards of prestigious companies like HSBC, LTIMindtree, and Brookfield Property Management Ltd. Kumar is also the non-executive chairman of Resilient Innovations Pvt Ltd. and an advisor with BPEA EQT Pte Ltd.

In another key decision announced by the company’s board Jyoti Sagar has been appointed as an Independent Director. He is a highly experienced lawyer with over 47 years of practice and the founder of two successful law firms in India – J. Sagar Associates and K&S Partners. He is recognized for his contribution to changing law firm ownership and management structures in India. Jyoti holds several important positions in the legal community and serves on various committees, including the Society of Indian Law Firms and the Bar Association of India. He is actively involved in the voluntary sector, serving as chairman of several NGOs and trusts and holds a degree in Economics and Law and is passionate about promoting plain English in legal language.
