Rajkumar Khatri Appointed Independent Director of Royal Orchid Hotels

The Board of Directors of Royal Orchid Hotels Limited has approved the appointment of Rajkumar Thakardas Khatri as an Additional Director in the category of Non-Executive Independent Director, for a period of 1 year with effect from October 08, 2023, to October 07, 2024, pending approval from the company’s shareholders.

Khatri served in the Indian Administrative Service (IAS) for over 33 years in various roles in Karnataka. He focused on making business easier, attracting investments, and strengthening education and industry. He helped create policies like the Aerospace and Electric Vehicle policies. He also managed crisis responses during the COVID-19 pandemic and oversaw projects like expanding the Bengaluru International Airport. Khatri played a key role in attracting investments during the Global Investors Meet in 2010. He worked on projects with international agencies and improved business registration processes. Khatri also served on the boards of several corporations like KSFC, KSSIDC, MSIL, HCL, and Bangalore International Airport Limited.
