Rajeev Joisar Succeeds Gunjan Vakharia As Head of Siemens’ Mobility Business

Rajeev Joisar has been appointed as the Head of Siemens Limited’s Mobility Business, effective March 17, 2025. He has succeeded Gunjan Vakharia, who retired from the same position on the same date, as Vakharia is taking up a new role within Siemens overseas.

Rajeev Joisar has over 24 years of experience in India’s rail transportation sector. He has held leadership roles, including Managing Director at Bombardier Transportation India Pvt. Ltd. and Managing Director of Services & Commercial Director at Alstom Transportation India Ltd. He has contributed to major rail projects such as Delhi Metro, Kanpur-Agra, Namo Bharat, Bhopal-Indore, Chennai Metro, Bangalore Metro, and 12000 HP locomotives. His work includes Indian Railways locomotives, EMUs, and Vande Bharat trains. Joisar holds a degree in Electronics & Communication Engineering, a Business Management qualification, and has completed an Executive Leadership Program at INSEAD, UK.
