Radhika C. S. Appointed as Executive Director at GIC

Radhika C. S. has assumed the office of Executive Director of the General Insurance Corporation of India with effect from July 12, 2024.

Radhika C.S. has 37 years of experience in the general insurance industry. She joined United India Insurance Co. Ltd. as a Direct Recruit Officer (Accounts) in 1987. Handled big clients, viz., RPG, ONGC, HPCL, CPCL, TNPL, MRF, GMR, L&T, Mumbai Airport Authority of India, ITC, Hindalco, British Airways, HCL Tech, TVS Group, Ashok Leyland, Global Hospital, Various Assam Tea Gardens, Emami, in various lines of business. During the 2015 Chennai floods, she led the Special Claims Team for Non-Motor Claims and was promoted to Deputy General Manager. Prior to her posting as General Manager, she had experience working in various states of Tamil Nadu, Delhi, Maharashtra, West Bengal, Andhra Pradesh, and Telangana in different leadership capacities, serving both corporate and retail segments. As a GM, she has been handling various portfolios like Fire & Engineering Technical, Reinsurance, HR, and allied matters. She is a postgraduate in commerce with a PG diploma in computer applications. She is a fellow member of the Insurance Institute of India. She was a member of the IRDA committees on re-insurance regulations, fire and engineering de-tariffing, and the re-insurance taskforce.
