
Rachna Khare Steps Down As Shareholder Director Of UCO Bank
Rachna Khare, Shareholder Director of UCO Bank, has resigned with effect from December 25, 2025, due to her appointment as the Insurance Ombudsman, office of the Insurance Ombudsman Pune.
Khare served as Executive Director at LIC of India until her superannuation in November 2024, where she led initiatives focused on customer experience strategy and implementation. She set up LIC’s Software Development Center for electronic front-end operations in Pune and played a key role in establishing LIC Singapore Pvt. Ltd. as a wholly owned subsidiary, serving as Manager for IT, operations, and compliance in Singapore. She worked with regulators under the Monetary Authority of Singapore and coordinated with auditors and consultants, including KPMG, Towers Watson, and EY. Khare is an alumna of Miranda House, Delhi University, and holds a master’s degree in science with specialisation in ecology and environmental impact assessment, along with a French language certification from Alliance Française de Delhi. Her interests include digital transformation, climate change, sustainable energy, biodiversity, and armed forces welfare.
