R. Seshasayee Appointed Chairman of Asian Paints

Asian Paints Limited appointed R. Seshasayee as the Chairman of the Board with effect from 1st October 2023 up to the conclusion of his term on 22nd January 2027. Seshasayee has been a part of Asian Paints’ board as an Independent Director and serves as the Chairman of the Investment Committee. He is also a member of the Audit Committee and the Nomination & Remuneration Committee of the Board of Asian Paints. R. Seshasayee will replace Deepak Satwalekar who is due to retire on 30th September, 2023.

Seshasayee served as the Managing Director of Ashok Leyland Limited From 1998 to 2011. He was also the Non-Executive Chairman of IndusInd Bank from 2007 to 2019. He has served on the boards of numerous firms as an Independent Director, including ICICI Bank and Infosys Ltd.

He served as President of the Confederation of Indian Industry from 2006 to 2007 and the President of the Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers from 2001 to 2003.
