Puma Energy Appoints Jiri Zrust As Chairman Of The Board
Puma Energy has appointed Jiri Zrust as Chairman of the Board, effective April 01, 2025, succeeding René Médori.
Outgoing Chairman René Médori expressed gratitude for his tenure, while Zrust acknowledged Médori’s contributions to the company’s strategy and financial performance. The appointment follows the recent selection of Mark Russell as Puma Energy CEO.
The company stated that Zrust’s appointment aligns with Trafigura’s governance strategy for its subsidiary companies under the newly created Operating Assets division. This division aims to enhance governance, oversight, and risk management across Trafigura’s assets while ensuring Puma Energy operates independently on a commercial basis. The leadership transition follows Puma Energy’s restructuring and return to profitability after Trafigura took a controlling stake in 2021.
