Pritish Nandy Communications’ Chairman Pritish Nandy Passed Away At 73

Pritish Nandy, founder, Non-Executive Director, and Chairman of Pritish Nandy Communications Limited, passed away on January 08, 2025.

Nandy was a poet, editor, TV show host, film producer, Rajya Sabha member, and animal rights activist. His writings, such as “Calcutta If You Must Exile Me,” demonstrate his empathy for socioeconomic struggles. Moving to Mumbai, he joined The Times of India, revitalised The Illustrated Weekly of India, and oversaw Filmfare and Femina. In 1993, he founded Pritish Nandy Communications, creating impactful films and series that shaped Indian media. He left a legacy of creativity, cultural influence, and contributions to both literature and entertainment.
