Pritesh Vinay Set To Step Down As JSW Energy CFO; Sandeep Batra Appointed As President & CHRO Of JSW Steel
Pritesh Vinay has resigned as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of JSW Energy to pursue career opportunities outside the JSW Group, effective December 31, 2025.
Further, Sandeep Batra has been appointed as President and Chief Human Resource Officer (CHRO) of Steel & Corporate at JSW Steel with effect from November 18, 2025.
Vinay has been with the JSW Group for over a decade, serving as Vice President (VP) of Corporate Finance at JSW Steel and Head–Group Investor Relations before moving to JSW Energy. Earlier, he worked with Goldman Sachs (India) Securities and the Aditya Birla Group. He serves on the Boards of JSW Energy (Barmer), JSW Hydro Energy, JSW Neo Energy, Barmer Lignite Mining, JSW Energy (Utkal), and KSK Mahanadi Power. He has about 22 years of experience in corporate finance, fundraising, investor relations, M&A, and equity research across Indian and multinational firms. Vinay holds a B.E. in Computer Science and Engineering from Bihar Institute of Technology, Sindri, and an MMS in Finance from Sydenham Institute of Management Studies, Mumbai University.
Batra most recently served as Chief People Officer at Adani Airport Holdings and Adani Digital Labs, leading people strategy across eight airports and supporting six joint ventures, covering a workforce of 15,000 employees. Earlier, he was Group President–HR at Landmark Group and held senior roles across geographies at Vodafone Idea from 2008 to 2020. He has a 31-year career spanning people strategy and organisational development across sectors, including IT, consumer, telecom, retail, e-commerce, infrastructure, and aviation. Batra holds a Master’s Certificate in HR Transformation from Cornell University, a Senior Management Program credential from IIM Kolkata, and a PGDBM from IMT Ghaziabad.
