Pratik Oswal & Vaibhav Agrawal Join Motilal Oswal Board; CMO Sandeep Walunj Resigns
Pratik Oswal and Vaibhav Agrawal have been appointed as Non-Executive Directors of Motilal Oswal Financial Services Limited, effective November 1, 2025.
Further, Joseph Conrad Agnelo D’Souza (Conrad D’Souza) and Ashok Kumar P. Kothari have been appointed as Independent Directors of the company effective November 1, 2025.
Meanwhile, Sandeep Walunj, Group Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) and Senior Management Personnel (SMP) of the company, has resigned, effective October 31, 2025.
Pratik Oswal is the Head of Passive and Quant Funds division at Motilal Oswal Asset Management Company (MOAMC), where he has played a key role in developing one of India’s most comprehensive suites of Exchange Traded Funds (ETFs) and Index Funds. Under his leadership, MOAMC has emerged as a pioneer in the passive investment space, offering cost-efficient solutions to retail and institutional investors. His global exposure includes working at a San Francisco-based FinTech start-up backed by Y Combinator and Khosla Ventures. Oswal holds a bachelor’s degree in mathematics and economics from Emory University, USA, and an MBA from the London Business School, UK.
Vaibhav Agrawal oversees Assets Under Management (AUM) of approximately Rs 10,000 crore across the alternate investment platform at Motilal Oswal Asset Management Company (MOAMC). As the head of the alternates business, Vaibhav has played a key role in building a scalable and high-performing platform within one of the Group’s key growth verticals. Earlier, he successfully managed the Portfolio Management Services (PMS) business at MOAMC. He began his career as a Ratings Analyst at CRISIL before joining MOAMC as an Investment Analyst. Agrawal holds a bachelor’s degree in computer science from the University of Pennsylvania, USA, and an MBA from the London Business School, UK.
Conrad D’Souza was associated with HDFC for over 39 years, where he was responsible for strategy, treasury, corporate planning and budgeting, investor relations, and corporate finance. As Treasurer of HDFC, he managed resource mobilisation and asset-liability management. He currently serves as a Director on the boards of Chalet Hotels, Bharat Bijlee, Prism Johnson, Asianet Satellite Communications, Camlin Fine Sciences, and several other companies. D’Souza has also worked on assignments for multilateral agencies across Asia, Africa, and Eastern Europe, helping set up mortgage companies in Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Egypt, the Maldives, and Tanzania. He holds a master’s degree in business administration (MBA), a diploma in financial management, and is a senior executive programme (SEP) graduate from the London Business School.
Ashok Kumar P. Kothari, a retired Indian Revenue Service (IRS) officer and former Commissioner at the Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC), brings over three decades of public service experience. His contributions have been recognised internationally, including the World Customs Organisation (WCO) Certificate of Merit for exceptional service to the global customs community. He holds a bachelor’s degree in commerce from Narsee Monjee College, Mumbai, and has completed executive programmes at IIM Lucknow, IIM Bengaluru, the University of South Korea, the National University of Singapore, and the University of Cambridge, UK.
