Pramod Agrawal Joins Tata Power Company As Independent Director

Pramod Agrawal has been appointed as Non-Executive Independent Director (Additional Director) of Tata Power Company Limited, effective April 15, 2025, subject to the approval of the shareholders of the Company.

Agrawal is the former Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) of Coal India Limited. He has served as Joint Secretary in the Department of Disinvestment, Ministry of Finance, and as Principal Secretary in various departments of the Government of Madhya Pradesh. He has also been CMD of Madhya Pradesh Paschim Kshetra Vidyut Vitaran Company Limited, CEO of Madhya Pradesh Rural Road Development Authority, and District Collector of Morena and Mahasamund. He serves on the Boards of Tata Steel Limited, Infrastructure Leasing & Financial Services Limited, and Century Plyboards (India) Limited. He is a visiting professor at IIM Ranchi. Agrawal holds a B.Tech from IIT Mumbai and an M.Tech from IIT Delhi. He has received training from Duke University, IIMs, and RMIT Melbourne.
