Polycab India Appoints Vijay Pandey As Executive Director & Sumit Malhotra As Independent Director

Vijay Pandey has been appointed as a Whole-Time Director, designated as Executive Director (Additional Director) of Polycab India Limited with effect from January 22, 2025.

Sumit Malhotra has been appointed as Whole-Time Director, designated as Independent Director of the company, with effect from January 22, 2025.

Pandey has over 42 years of experience in the cable and wire sector, demonstrating remarkable leadership and knowledge all along the way. He has been with Polycab for the last eleven years, during which time he has made important contributions. Before joining Polycab, he held important positions at well-known companies like Universal Cable Ltd., Havells India Ltd., Gulf Cable Co. (Kuwait), and Victor Cable & Industries Ltd. He has worked in technical, planning, operations, and quality roles. Pandey is a Mechanical Engineering graduate with an MBA in Finance.

Malhotra has been with the Bajaj Group since 2004 and has over 37 years of expertise in the FMCG industry. In addition to being an Independent Director and the Head of the Audit Committee for the Consumer division of the Sanjay Ghodawat Group of Companies, Kolhapur, he is currently a Non-Executive Director and Board Advisor at the Bajaj Group. His areas of expertise are sales, marketing, and creating profitable business plans. Malhotra has a PGDM from IIM Ahmedabad and a Bachelor of Pharmacy from IIT BHU.
