Piergiorgio Peluso To Replace Adrian Calaza As Telecom Italia CFO

Piergiorgio Peluso, currently the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of Autostrade per l’Italia, will take over as CFO of Telecom Italia (TIM) next month, two sources told Reuters.

Peluso began his career at Arthur Andersen & Co. as an experienced accountant. He has served as Managing Director at Fondiaria SAI SpA. He was also the Head of Corporate & Investment Banking Italy at UniCredit. Between 1994 and 2001, he held key roles in Mediobanca, Credit Suisse First Boston’s Financial Institutions Group, and Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A). In 2002, he joined Medio Credito Centrale (Capitalia Group) and later became Central Director at Capitalia SpA. Following Capitalia’s merger with UniCredit, he led Investment Banking Italy and later became CEO of UniCredit Corporate Banking. Peluso graduated in economic and social sciences with a specialisation in finance from Università Commerciale Luigi Bocconi in 1992.
