Philips Appoints Charlotte Hanneman As New Chief Financial Officer

Philips has appointed Charlotte Hanneman as Chief Financial Officer (CFO), with effect from October 1, 2024. She replaced Abhijit Bhattacharya, who retired on September 30 after 37 years of service. For the first time in the company’s 133-year history, a woman will assume this leadership post.

Charlotte Hanneman has over 20 years of experience in the medical technology and pharmaceutical industries. She was most recently the Controller and Head of Financial Planning & Analysis at Stryker, where she oversaw external reporting, enterprise financial planning, and procurement. Her professional background includes international leadership positions at Merck, Schering-Plough, and Organon, as well as considerable experience in the United States, Asia, and Europe. Charlotte holds a master’s degree in economics and an executive Master of Finance and Control from Maastricht University, Netherlands.
