Persistent Systems Appoints Anjali Joshi as an Independent Director

The Board of Directors of Persistent Systems Limited has appointed Anjali Joshi as an Additional Director (Independent Member) for five years with immediate effect on June 12, 2024, subject to approval by the Members of the company.

Anjali Joshi has more than 30 years of experience in engineering and product management. Joshi received her B. Tech. in Electrical Engineering from IIT, a Master’s in Computer Engineering from the State University of New York, and a Master’s in Engineering Management from Stanford University. She was awarded the Distinguished Alumna Award from the Indian Institute of Technology. She is currently a director of Xero and LocoNav and was previously a director of Alteryx, Lattice Semiconductor, Iteris, MobileIron, and McClatchy. She holds advisory positions at the Markkula Center for Applied Ethics at Santa Clara University, the National AI Institute for Exceptional Education at SUNY Buffalo, and Insight Partners in New York. She spent 13 years in senior product leadership at Google where she was instrumental in building and scaling several products including Search and Maps globally across internet, mobile, and video platforms. Before joining Google, she held engineering leadership positions at Covad Communications and Systems Engineering roles at AT&T Bell Labs.

The Board has approved the reappointment of Sunil Sapre as the Executive Director for the next term of 3 months till his superannuation later this year starting from October 1, 2024, to December 31, 2024, upon completion of his existing term on September 30, 2024.

The company has also reappointed Praveen Kadle as the Independent Director for five years with effect from April 23, 2025, to April 22, 2030, upon completion of his existing term on April 22, 2025.
