Oracle Appoints Clay Magouyrk & Mike Sicilia As Co-CEOs, Replacing Safra Catz

Oracle has appointed Clay Magouyrk, head of its cloud infrastructure business, and Mike Sicilia, leader of its cloud-based applications and AI products, as Co-CEOs. They replace Safra Catz, who led the company for 11 years and will continue as Vice Chair of the Board.

Magouyrk is a founding member of Oracle’s cloud engineering development center. He leads engineering, product strategy, technical operations, and customer success for OCI, focusing on enterprise cloud migration, AI-driven infrastructure demands, and sovereignty-specific requirements. Under his leadership, OCI has expanded to over 100 public regions worldwide. Prior to joining Oracle in 2014, he spent six years at Amazon and AWS. Clay holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Memphis.

Sicilia, Co-CEO of Oracle, is focused on enabling customers across industries to accelerate growth and success through AI-powered applications and infrastructure. Since joining Oracle in 2008 from Primavera Systems, he has held multiple leadership roles, driving the development of industry-specific cloud and embedded AI solutions that foster adaptability and innovation. He also led some of Oracle’s most strategic acquisitions, expanding critical offerings for customers worldwide. Mike holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from Saint Joseph’s University.
