OneTrust Survey: Firms Dedicate 37% More Time To AI Risk & Compliance

A survey by OneTrust shows organisations are dedicating 37% more time to AI risk management compared to last year, with 73% reporting gaps in visibility, collaboration, and policy enforcement. Advanced AI adopters spend twice as much time managing risks, and 98% of organisations plan to increase governance budgets next year.

Cybersecurity leaders report growing concerns over nation-state attacks, with 59% experiencing at least one successful breach in the past year, and 48% failing to report incidents to leadership. Nearly all organisations use AI for routine cybersecurity tasks, but only 68% express moderate confidence in detecting AI-driven threats in real time. Separately, supply chain company Assent found multiple PFAS chemicals in 82% of manufacturing supply chains, with PTFE present in over half of cases, highlighting regulatory and environmental challenges for businesses.
