OLA CEO Hemant Bakshi Leaves in only three months
The Chief Executive Officer of Ola Cabs, Hemant Bakshi, who joined the company this year in January, has resigned from the post.
Formerly working with Unilever, Hemant Bakshi led Ola’s mobility division and was instrumental in driving key sectors, including financial services, logistics, and e-commerce.
Bakshi’s departure coincides with Ola’s preparations for an upcoming initial public offering (IPO), with expectations for the firm to submit a draft IPO prospectus within the next three months.
This marks the third significant departure in the Indian startup sector this April. Earlier in the month, Arjun Mohan resigned as CEO of Byju’s India, while Surinder Chawla, MD and CEO of Paytm Payments Bank, also parted ways with the fintech company facing challenges.
