Nilesh Shivji Vikamsey & Sunil Behari Mathur Retire As Independent Directors Of Thomas Cook (India)

Nilesh Shivji Vikamsey and Sunil Behari Mathur have completed their terms as Independent Directors of Thomas Cook (India) Limited, and accordingly, they retired effective December 22, 2025.

Vikamsey has served as Director and Chairman of Federal Bank and was a member of IRDA. Currently, he is a member of SEBI’s Advisory Committee on Mutual Funds, Chairman of the National BFSI Committee, Vice President of the West India Council of the Indo-American Chamber of Commerce, and a core group member of the Bombay Chartered Accountants’ Society. He serves on advisory boards of Blacksoil Group, IC3 Institute, MentorMyBoard, and MAHAPREIT AIF. He is a Senior Partner at KKC & Associates LLP (formerly Khimji Kunverji & Co LLP), an 88-year-old Chartered Accountants firm. Vikamsey is an Independent Director in several listed and unlisted companies and a past President of ICAI. He is also a trustee of the Sayagyi U Ba Khin Memorial Trust and other educational trusts.

Mathur is a Chartered Accountant and former Chairman of Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC), serving from August 2002 to October 2004. Post-retirement, he was appointed by the Government of India as Administrator of the Specified Undertaking of the Unit Trust of India (SUUTI) from December 2004 to December 2007. He was ranked No. 33 among Indian CEOs by the Economic Times in 2005, marking a record jump. He has served as a part-time member of the Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority and Non-Executive Chairman of the National Stock Exchange of India Limited. He has been on the boards of UltraTech Cement, DCM Shriram Industries, Travel Corporation (India), QRG Enterprises, and Thomas Cook (India). Mathur was the Secretary General of the Life Insurance Council in 2012 and contributed to a government committee on financial sector practices in 2014.
