Neera Saggi and Anup Shah Appointed Independent Directors of Adani Green Energy

Adani Green Energy announced the appointment of Neera Saggi and Anup Shah as Non-Executive Independent Directors with effect from September 7, 2023.

Saggi, 67, has over 40 years of extensive and varied experience, both in the public and private sectors. For 28 years, as a member of the Indian Administrative Service, she worked within the government with multiple stakeholders and in different sectors, including ports, SEZs, areas of export promotion, textiles, area administration, and rural development. Saggi has strong networks in multiple sectors and with different stakeholders, including government, private, NGOs, multilateral agencies, consulates, and chambers of commerce. She was President of the Bombay Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI) for the year 2013–14.

She is a Master of Business Administration and Management from the International Centre of Public Enterprise, Ljubljana, Slovenia (sponsored by GOI-UNDP). She also holds a Master’s in English Literature, from Delhi University; and a Bachelor of Arts (Hons.), from Gauhati University.

Anup Shah is a senior partner of M/s. Pravin P. Shah & Co.  He is on the board of various companies.  He has over 25 years of experience in the areas of international estate planning, business restructuring, capital markets regulations, foreign investments, international taxation, etc. Shah is a fellow member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India. He has completed his Ph.D. in Commerce from Mumbai University; he is a law graduate from Mumbai University; and he has also done his Business Consultancy Studies Course from the Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management Studies.
