Navneet Kumar Sehgal Resigns As Chairman Of Prasar Bharati
Navneet Kumar Sehgal, Chairman of Prasar Bharati, has resigned from his position, and the Information and Broadcasting Ministry has accepted his resignation.
Sehgal is a retired Indian Administrative Service officer (1988 batch, Uttar Pradesh cadre) with over 35 years of experience in governance and policy reform at both the Central and State levels. He has held key roles, including Additional Chief Secretary, Principal Secretary (Tourism, MSME, Energy), and Secretary to the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh. Sehgal oversaw major projects such as the Agra-Lucknow Expressway, the first Metro Rail service in Lucknow, and power generation and distribution reforms. Sehgal led initiatives like “One District One Product” and secured funding from the World Bank and JICA for state projects. His expertise spans media, public relations, administration, finance, law and order, land management, and infrastructure development.
