Navin Wadhwani Steps Down As JP Morgan India’s Investment Banking Head

Navin Wadhwani, JP Morgan’s head of investment banking for India, resigned earlier this month, after just over two years in the role, to pursue other opportunities, the bank confirmed.

His role will now be jointly handled by Nitin Maheshwari, head of India M&A, and Ravi Shankar, Managing Director of technology and media, as co-heads of investment banking for India. Both will report to Paul Uren, head of investment banking for Asia Pacific. Wadhwani, who joined JP Morgan in 2022, previously led M&A at Reliance Industries for over a decade and held senior roles at Rothschild India and Arthur Andersen. Maheshwari and Shankar have been with JP Morgan since 2015 and 2017, respectively, managing critical sectors like M&A and startups.
