
Navin K. Shrivastava Elevated To CGM & CRO At Indian Bank; Bhupinder S. Bhalla Appointed As Shareholder Director
Navin Kumar Shrivastava has been elevated to the position of Chief General Manager and Chief Risk Officer (CGM & CRO) of Indian Bank, effective January 1, 2026.
Further, Bhupinder Singh Bhalla has assumed the office of Shareholder Director of the Bank effective December 31, 2025.
Shrivastava served as General Manager of the Risk Management Department at Indian Bank. With over 31 years of experience in the banking sector, he has developed expertise across treasury operations, investment management, risk assessment, and international finance. His extensive experience spans multiple banking functions, equipping him with strong analytical and operational skills. Shrivastava is an engineering graduate and holds diplomas in treasury, investment & risk management, and international banking & finance. He is also a Certified Associate of the Indian Institute of Bankers (CAIIB).
Bhalla joined the Indian Administrative Service (IAS) in 1990 after three years in corporate finance. He has held key positions, including Secretary, Ministry of New and Renewable Energy, where he led India’s energy transition and initiatives such as the National Green Hydrogen Mission and PM Surya Ghar: Muft Bijli Yojana. He has also served as Technical Member, Appellate Tribunal for Electricity, Joint Secretary and Additional Secretary in Commerce & Industry, Counsellor (Economic) at the Indian Embassy in Washington DC, and Director, Department of Financial Services. He received the CMA Ratna Award in 2016. Bhalla holds an honours degree from Shri Ram College of Commerce, ICWA, and a PGDM (MBA) from the Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Bangalore.
