National Fertilizers appoints U. Saravanan as Chairman and MD

Saravanan has been appointed as the new Chairman and Managing Director of National Fertilizers Limited on 16th June 2023.

With 33 years of experience, he brings extensive knowledge in the fertiliser and oil refinery industries. Saravanan completed advanced process design training in Chicago, USA, under M/s UOP. He also contributed to the pre-commissioning and commissioning phases of Toyo Engineering’s 0.6 MMTPA olefin project in Rayong, Thailand as part of a project team. Previously, Saravanan served as Chairman and Managing Director of Madras Fertilisers Limited and held board positions at Fortune Biotech and Indian Potash Limited (IPL). Additionally, he acted as the Director (Technical) at FACT. Saravanan holds a B.Tech in Chemical Engineering from Anna University and an MBA from the College of Madras. He is a Life Member of the Indian Institute of Chemical Engineers.
