Natco Pharma’s Independent Director Dr. M.U.R. Naidu Passed Away

Natco Pharma has informed the exchanges of the sad demise of Dr. M.U.R. Naidu, an Independent Director of the company, on July 30, 2024. He was an Independent Director of the company since February 11, 2015.
Professor Naidu, former dean of the faculty of medicine and head of the department of clinical pharmacology and therapeutics at Nizam’s Institute of Medical Sciences, Hyderabad, had completed his medical post-graduation MD from Jabalpur Medical College in 1977. He received advanced professional training in clinical pharmacology in the UK, Germany, and the USA. Dr. Naidu had received a WHO Fellowship for advanced training on ADR monitoring at Uppsala, Sweden.

He was a well-known clinical pharmacologist with more than 40 years of teaching and research experience. His main area of interest is clinical research, especially cardiovascular systems and phase I clinical trials. Dr. Naidu made a significant contribution to developing noninvasive methods in clinical pharmacology.
