
Naresh Talwar Set To Step Down As Chairman; Umesh Talwar Elevated As Executive Chairman At Talbros Automotive
Naresh Talwar will step down from the position of Chairman of the Board of Talbros Automotive Components Limited, effective March 31, 2026. He will continue as a Non-Executive Director of the company with effect from April 1, 2026.
Umesh Talwar has been elevated as Executive Chairman and Whole-Time Director (Key Managerial Personnel) of the company, with effect from April 1, 2026.
Varun Talwar has been appointed as Vice Chairman and MD, with effect from April 1, 2026, subject to shareholders’ approval by Special Resolution.
Ashish Gupta has been appointed as Chief Executive Officer and Key Managerial Personnel (CEO & KMP) with effect from April 1, 2026.
Anuj Talwar has been appointed as Managing Director and Key Managerial Personnel (MD & KMP), with effect from April 1, 2026, subject to shareholders’ approval by Special Resolution.
Naresh Talwar is also a Promoter of Talbros Automotive Components. He was elected Chairman on April 1, 2000. He founded QH Talbros Ltd. in 1986 for manufacturing suspension parts, tie-rods, and ball joints, and co-promoted T&T Motors Ltd., an authorised dealer of Mercedes-Benz cars. In 1996, he co-promoted XO Infotech Ltd. to manufacture computer motherboards and served as its CMD. He also co-promoted Sunrise Medicare Pvt. Ltd. and serves as Chairman of Talbros International Ltd.
Umesh Talwar has been serving as the Executive Vice Chairman and MD of the company since 2000. He has experience in the automotive sector and has been involved in the company’s operations and expansion over the years. During his tenure, the company addressed market challenges and focused on strengthening its operational base. Under his leadership, the organisation worked on improving volumes and maintaining its position in the automotive components segment. He has contributed to strategic planning and execution aimed at sustaining growth and enhancing business performance.
Varun Talwar has over two decades of industrial experience, with involvement in the automotive sector. He has worked overseas with Stoffel Seals Corporation in New York and with American Express Bank, New York. He has more than 25 years of experience across the IT sector, the auto components industry, and the healthcare industry. He has contributed to the development of the company’s business operations, including in the Forging Division. His role has involved participation in business initiatives and operational activities aimed at supporting growth and strengthening the company’s presence in its operating segments.
Ashish Gupta is the CEO of Marelli Talbros Chassis Systems Pvt. Ltd., a joint venture between Talbros Automotive Components and Marelli Suspension Systems, Italy SpA. He has over 35 years of experience across industries. He has held senior roles in India and overseas, including assignments in Germany and the CIS region. He has been involved in setting up and expanding automotive manufacturing operations. His experience includes factory operations, quality systems, and team management. In his leadership roles, he has focused on operational performance, cost management, and process improvement to support business growth and stakeholder value.
Anuj Talwar has been serving as Joint MD of the company since 2016. He has led initiatives for the company and its joint venture entities, including Marelli Talbros Chassis Systems Pvt. Ltd. and Talbros Marugo Rubber Pvt. Ltd. He is involved in strategic planning and leadership functions across the organisation. His role includes participation in day-to-day business operations and engagement in industry-related forums. Through his responsibilities within the company and its joint ventures, he has gained experience in the automotive sector and developed an understanding of the company’s operations and market position.
