
Muthuswami Lakshminarayan & Mohammed F. Farooqui Retire As Independent Directors Of TVS Electronics
Muthuswami Lakshminarayan and Mohammed Fayazuddin Farooqui have completed their final terms as Independent Directors of TVS Electronics Limited and consequently retired with effect from May 5, 2025.
Lakshminarayan has over three decades of experience in the infotainment and automotive sectors. He is currently the Chairman of ZF Commercial Vehicle Control Systems India Ltd and serves on the Boards of Sansera Engineering Ltd, Suprajit Engineering Ltd, and ASM Technologies Ltd. He is also a member of the advisory Board of VOITH Industrial Services. From 2009 to 2017, he was Managing Director of Harman International India Pvt. Ltd. He has held leadership roles with CII and the Bangalore Chamber of Industries & Commerce and chaired the Research Advisory Board of CMTI. Lakshminarayan is a postgraduate in Management Studies (MMS) from Chennai and has completed the Advanced Management Programme at Harvard Business School. He is a fellow member of the Institute of Cost and Management Accountants.
Farooqui is a retired Indian Administrative Service officer with a master’s degree in physics and business administration. He is the Chairman of The Ramco Cements Ltd. and serves on the Dispute Resolution Committee of the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy and as Chairman of the Tamil Nadu Human Resources Reform Committee. He retired as Secretary of the Department of Telecommunications and Chairman of the Telecom Commission in 2014. He also held the role of secretary in the Department of Heavy Industry. In Tamil Nadu, he contributed to the growth of the electronics and automobile industries. He has served in roles across environment, finance, foreign service, and urban development, including as Consul General of India in Jeddah and as Chief Executive of CMDA.
