Meher Pudumjee Exits Pidilite Industries Board Due To Potential Conflict, Sanjeev Aga Concludes His Term
Sanjeev Aga, Independent Director of the company, shall retire from the Board effective March 31, 2025, upon completion of his term.
Meher Pudumjee has tendered her resignation as the Independent Director of the company with effect from January 22, 2025. In her resignation, she stated that following a strategic review at Thermax Limited, she recognised the potential for a business conflict in the near future.
Meena Ganesh and Vivek Raghavan have been appointed as Non-Executive Independent Directors (Additional Directors) of Pidilite Industries Limited with effect from January 22, 2025.
Meena Ganesh is the Co-founder and Chairperson of Portea Medical, India’s leading home healthcare company. She has been honoured with the ‘Distinguished Alumnus’ award by IIM Calcutta in 2011. She is a prominent entrepreneur and business leader. As a partner at Growthstory, one of India’s largest entrepreneurship platforms, she has co-promoted nearly a dozen new-age internet and technology-enabled start-ups. She has worked with organisations like TutorVista, Pearson Education Services, Tesco Hindustan Service Centre, CustomerAsset, Microsoft India, PWC, and NIIT. She also serves as an independent member of the Board at renowned corporations, including Axis Bank Ltd., Pfizer Ltd., and Hitachi Energy India Ltd. She holds a PGDM from IIM Calcutta and has a graduate degree in physics from Madras University.
Dr. Vivek Raghavan is an accomplished entrepreneur and technologist, currently dedicated to developing generative AI solutions for India through his venture, Sarvam AI. He previously served as the Chief Product Manager and Biometric Architect at UIDAI for Aadhaar, where he continues to offer advisory support. He has made significant contributions to various AI projects, including those for the Supreme Court of India and the National Payment Corporation of India, and has played a key role in the Data Empowerment and Protection Architecture (DEPA) framework. Dr. Raghavan is also the Chief Mentor at AI4Bharat, IIT Madras, and has held leadership roles in several tech companies. A former volunteer CTO for Team Indus, he holds advanced degrees in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University and a B.Tech from IIT Delhi.
