MCA21 portal users who are professionals will have a single ID
On the MCA21 portal, the venue for submitting statutory files under the corporations and LLP laws, the government has begun the process of deactivating multiple login IDs that are in the name of a single Company Secretary, Chartered Accountant, or Cost Accountant. According to officials, the corporate affairs ministry has issued a circular, requiring professional who have more than one ID to seek permission from their respective apex institutions before deactivating the additional IDs in order to maintain just one ID per user.
The change occurs as the portal’s Version 3 (V3) is put into action. A professional may only have one login ID under V3, as opposed to many IDs under V2. For instance, in order to deactivate numerous log IDs on the MCA21 portal, a company secretary must first obtain permission from the Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI) for deleting the multiple IDs.
According to the officials, only allowing log-in IDs will make it simpler to identify the specific person. On account of various IDs, the institute has also started talking to its members to get the information it needs.
One of the individuals previously mentioned stated that LTIMindtree is trying to improve the system and that the problems with the MCA21 portal are being fixed.
The ministry held talks with stakeholders in several cities last month as a result of numerous portal-related issues. Since its launch, the MCA21 V3 portal has received more than 35 lakh forms, according to information posted on the ministry’s website. The MCA21 portal is used to submit statutory filings to the ministry under the Limited Liability Partnership (LLP) Act and the Companies Law.
